I work to create a space that is rooted in safety and non-judgment, where I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to help clients move forward. I understand that seeking help takes courage, and I prioritize making sure my clients feel comfortable expressing themselves in therapy. I believe that each individual is the expert of their own experience, and I am honored to be someone they can confide in. I have been described as approachable, easy to talk to, and genuine — qualities I aim to bring into my practice.
I have worked in a variety of outpatient and community settings. I have experience working with teens and adults experiencing anxiety, depression, post traumatic stress disorder, or experiencing major life transitions. I particularly enjoy working with those who have experienced difficulties in intimate relationships, young adults, and members of the LGBTQ community.
I am a Supervisee in Clinical Social Work, currently working toward my Clinical Social Work License after receiving my Master’s in Clinical Social Work. I have over 4 years of experience in the mental health field, and I have completed all of the requirements for licensure, except my exam, which I plan to complete in June of this year.
Personal:
When I’m not doing clinical work, you can often find me immersed in music—whether listening to my favorite records or attending live concerts. Growing up, many of my family members were “Dead Heads,” and their passion for live music had a lasting impact on me. I also enjoy exploring new foods and discovering new restaurants around my city. These activities bring me joy and a sense of connection to the world outside of my work. To make and appointment, click here.
Fees and Insurance:
Because I am not yet licensed, I am not personally listed in Anthem or Aetna’s directories. I bill under my supervisor, Mike Pease, LCSW. That means that when you see me, and our office sends your claims to either Anthem or Aetna, the claims will have Mike’s name on them. This is based on instructions given to us by the insurance companies. Your insurance will pay as if were seeing Mike. That means that if you want to check your benefits, and your insurer ask for the provider’s name, you should give them “Michael Pease.” Mike’s individual NPI is 1487374047. Our group NPI is 148-719-7471 and the group’s EIN is 45-1520801.
