I approach therapy through the lens of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, believing that so much of who and how we are is shaped through our lived experiences. Sometimes these experiences leave us having learned ways of thinking, behaving, and believing that are not so helpful down the road. I believe that we are each the expert of our own experiences and through the processing, exploration, and understanding of our thoughts, feelings, and underlying beliefs, along with a commitment to self-compassion, we can best be prepared to pursue our best lives. It takes courage to seek out help and insight into the changes needed for a healthier and more fulfilling life. I am here to support and empower you throughout the endeavor. It is extremely important to me that everyone I work with feels they are safe, comfortable, and hopeful that our work together will bring positive changes in their lives.
I like to think of myself as a very open minded person and I really enjoy learning and trying new things, especially anything to do with nature and being outdoors, like vegetable gardening, hanging out with my 2 cats, or training my rough collie puppy (he’s learning at his own pace). Music has always been an important outlet to me whether it be listening to a new band or laying down a bass line to something I wrote myself.
